Financial Aid
FINANCIAL AID RESOURCES
How do I qualify for the Tennessee Hope/Lottery Scholarship and other forms of financial aid?
The first step is completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in December of a student's senior year of high school. It is recommended that this be completed no later than April 15th of that school year. However, if you are unable to complete the FAFSA using current tax documents by this date, it is important that parents/guardians complete this using the previous year's information for estimation. Students and parents can return to the FAFSA to make adjustments as needed. (Reminder: Males are required to register with the Selective Service System within 30 days prior or anytime after their 18th birthday to qualify for financial aid.)
What can I do prior to October of senior year in preparation?
Visit FAFSA 4caster to begin exploring options that may apply to you and your family. Also, parents and students should apply for their FSA ID prior to starting the financial aid process. Parents and students will select a code that will be used as their electronic signature.
